Lone Madrone started in 1996, when Neil Collins (Winemaker and Vineyard Manager at Tablas Creek since 1998), with the support of his wife Marci and sister Jackie, brought his vision to fruition.  The resultant wine was the inaugural vintage of Lone Madrone, so named for the tree that stands alone presiding over the vineyard.
